Winter HopesI'm walking down the street as snowflakes twirl & dance around my Dad We're slipping and tripping on the slide in the park I'm hoping for a snow day from school tomorrow Trees are weighted down fast with snow I'm throwing handfuls of powder at the dog We're looking up at the night sky glistening with stars We're doing a "crazy snow dance" in the yard I'm peeling wet clothes off in my house And I look at the snow falling And I'm thinking about the future and all it's complexities And I'm hoping that it's all just like tonightWinter Hopes
